GOLGI APPARATUS

//GOLGI APPARATUS//

Pronounced "gol-jee" this body is found in all plant and animal cells and consists of flattened disc-like structures that kinda look like pita pockets.

//SCIENCE//

The Golgi body is part of a manufacturing and supply chain that can be divided into three sections:
1) Goods being brought in
2) Main processing area
3) Goods being sent out
It's major function is modifying, sorting and packaging of proteins for secretion.

//WHY I LIKE IT//

I think it is super cool looking with its folds of membranes.... and I really like saying "Golgi"
